Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany (November 9, 2016) – A newly published Cybersecurity Curriculum is now available for institutions interested in implementing cybersecurity education programs, in order to better protect their networks from cybersecurity threats.
The creation of the Cybersecurity Curriculum is the product of a collaborative process among the Partnership for Peace Consortium's Emerging Security Challenges Working Group and Education Development Working Group, the George C. Marshall Center, NATO, as well as cybersecurity experts across 17 nations.
The curriculum is meant to serve as a generic guide for implementing a cybersecurity education program, with the following organizing themes:
- Theme 1: Cyberspace and the Fundamentals of Cybersecurity
- Theme 2: Risk Vectors
- Theme 3: International Cybersecurity Organizations, Policies and Standards
- Theme 4: Cybersecurity Management in the National Context
